Fatty Affair 2013: Reclamation! is less than 3 weeks away and I couldn’t be more excited! I remember last year and how full of anxiety I was! Boy! I couldn’t be further from that if I tried! Thanks in no small part to the fabulous ladies on the official planning committee! Their love, hard work and support has been such an inspiration and motivator for me.

To think that this all began as an idea for a little clothing swap in the east bay! Hahaha! I just can’t do things small, yo! Last year we had close to 100 people in attendance. This year? Let’s put it this way, the FB Event page already has 85 people saying they’re “going” but looking at the “maybe” list? I know we’ll be closer to 200 this year!

And this year’s annual event, “Fatty Affair 2013: Reclamation!” will be bigger and better than the last! We have new vendors, new performers and speakers, maybe some special surprises and you know I’ll have a new outfit to show ya! 😉 I cannot wait!!!

My dream is for Fatty Affair to become it’s own entity. I want to have Body Positive events all of the damned time and grow the fat community in new ways and make it accessible to new people. I want to support independent and small business owners and get the good fat word out where it hasn’t been before.

We’ll be asking for day-of volunteers and baked goods donations very soon, so please keep an eye out and keep us in mind for moolah donations, too. All money will go towards putting on the events themselves. Thank you all for your love and support! Rad fatty love to you! <3
